Who is the crew on Grace Catamaran?

Captain Joseph and Britta Stiles, along with Ship’s mascot Zoie are your crew on board.

Your crew came from different parts of the United States and met in the Virgin Islands.

Joseph grew up on a small family farm in the Pacific Northwest. He received degrees in the Culinary Arts, Patisserie and Baking from the Western Culinary Institute in Portland Oregon.

Then in 2009, he packed his bags and moved aboard a sailboat in St Croix in the US Virgin Islands. Joseph perfected the art of fine cuisine, adapting the premiere culinary French ideology of “Mise en Place” within the luxury yachting experience on a 120′ Motor Yacht for five years.

Britta grew up with her toes in the sandy beaches in Florida, and the underwater world became her passion. She also moved to St Croix, where she honed in her skills as being one of the premier dive guides and instructors.

For the last several years, Joseph and Britta have been working together running luxury charter vacations until this past summer when they purchased their yacht.

The third crew member is Zoie, a 10lb soaking wet sweetheart of a dog. If you don’t care for dogs, Joseph and Britta are happy to board Zoie ashore.

First Course: Wahoo Ceviche with Jalapeno, Sweet Bell Peppers, Cilantro, Coconut Milk, Lime Juice, and homemade Plantain Chips.

Second Course: Seared U10 Sea Scallops with Butter Parsnip Ravioli, Roasted Garnet Yam, Asparagus, Pickled Sugar Snap Peas, Foie Gras, and a Truffle Infusion.

Third Course: Lime Souffle with homemade caramel sauce.

Of course, the menu is customizable and takes in your food preferences and dietary needs.

What are the extras costs on the charter?

All the rates listed below are mostly fully crewed and inclusive. Extras on top of these that you have to take into account are:

  1. Crew Gratuity. You should consider 15-20% of the Charter fee adjusted up or down, depending on the service you feel that you have received.
  2. SCUBA diving. Rates are $50.00 per person per dive for certified divers and include your gear and your Divemaster.
  3. $125 for 1st discover (Resort dive for uncertified divers) dive, and any additional resort diving is $75 per person. Dive gear is included.
  4. Open water certifications are also offered, please contact me for rates.
  5. Any dockage that you request during the charter week. The beauty of sailing is being out on an anchor swinging in the breeze at quieter anchorages.
  6. Any food or drink that you choose to have onshore.

Does Grace Catamaran offer a Sleepaboard?

Yes! A Sleep Aboard is where you can board the yacht after 5 PM the night before your charter starts.

Most charters run from noon on pick up day until noon on drop off day. You receive a welcome drink.

Subsequently, you have dinner ashore at your expense and then in the morning a light breakfast on board.

The Captain and yourself will then agree on the time for leaving the dock.

Grace Catamarans’ rate for a Sleepaboard is $2200.00

Does Grace offer Half Board Charters?

Yes! If you would prefer to have some of your meals ashore, then you can take a half-board charter. You have all your breakfasts, 4 of your lunches, and 3 of your dinners on the boat, and then the rest you take ashore at your own expense.

Please do not take a half board to save money, as it will end up costing you more money than a full board charter, and it does limit the anchorages that you can stay to ones with restaurants. Only take this option if you want to experience the local restaurants.

I always recommend going ashore for dinner one night, and especially if you are out in Anegada where you can put your toes in the white sandy beaches and have fresh lobster BBQ’ed for you!

That’s it! I love the boat! When can I book?

Now!

Mascot Zoie can be boarded as you like, but she is ADORABLE!
