Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus

One of the prominent attractions in the area is the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus. It is situated on the southeast end of the sanctuary dedicated to the Greek God of medicine, Asclepius.

The entrance of the theater is adorned with reconstructed Corinthian pillars, and the remains of the ancient stage are visible beyond the circular seating arrangement. Today, the theater serves as a venue for ancient Greek theater performances during the annual Hellenic Festival, adding to its cultural significance and appeal. The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus stands as a remarkable testament to the architectural and artistic achievements of ancient Greece.
