Boketto Review

The Boketto was a beautiful catamaran. Well maintained, clean, very comfortable. It sailed smoothly and was a lot of fun to live on for a few days. These are all things that helped make our time sailing very pleasant. But… I have to say that what made our time on the water absolutely wonderful was our crew, Lukata and Benita.
They were attentive, knowledgeable, highly skilled, and frankly just fun to be around. Lukata’s humor, knowledge, and passion for all things local, Benita’s cooking (OMG every meal on Boketto was outstanding!), her skills in selecting music… everything about them is what really made the trip. I cannot brag enough on these two gems and I appreciate them so much.
And also a big thank you to the H2O team all for your work putting together this trip. I couldn’t have pulled it off without your expert help and guidance. Karine was completely surprised in a very good way and we both had a blast the whole time. I miss the waves, but we’ll carry these memories with us for the rest of our days.

Boketto Crew

Captain Lukata Samuel is a 100-ton Master Captain hailing from the picturesque Virgin Islands. With a lifetime of experience navigating these waters and beyond, he discovered his passion for sailing at the age of 8 at the St. Thomas Yacht Club. From there, he honed his skills, eventually traveling to St. Vincent and the Grenadines to share his expertise with local youth.

In their spare time, Lukata and Benita are avid sailors and active community volunteers, often found enjoying the sun on the Virgin Islands’ hidden beaches. They’re also passionate about sharing their love for sailing and promoting healthy lifestyles through their involvement in sailing and wellness programs for the youth of St. Thomas.

Chef Benita Marshall brings a vibrant energy to the seas, with a passion for sunset swims and crafting fresh pesto. With over 2 years of experience and more than 1000 nautical miles under her belt, along with her USCG Master 100-ton certification, Benita’s connection to the ocean is profound.

Hailing from various Caribbean islands, Benita embraces her role as a local island explorer, delving into the realms of food, culture, and waves. In the galley, she becomes an artist, drawing from over 5 years of culinary expertise to create dishes that not only tantalize the taste buds but also nourish the soul.

With a dedication to quality and freshness, Benita and Lukata oversee their local family farms, ensuring a “farm to table” approach to dining that infuses every meal with love and freshness. For Benita, the joy comes from seeing guests dance with delight as they savor her creations, making each dining experience aboard Boketto unforgettable.
