Every year, St John is home to one of the most unique races in the world. The 8 Tuff Miles. And this year’s 8 Tuff Miles race kicks off on February 29th at 7:15am. This winter is the 24th annual running of the event. While the race is fun, it is also for a great cause. Each year, the profits from the event are given to local students to help fun their college dreams. Last year alone, six children were awarded college scholarship funds! How is this Race Different?

The 8 Tuff miles is a race unlike anything else. St. John is an extremely mountains island in the heart of the Virgin Islands. So, runners gain nearly 1,000 ft elevation on the run, in addition to the eight mile trek. The race path takes you from Cruz Bay all the way to Coral bay. And the views along the way are absolutely stunning. Plus there will be plenty of live Caribbean music and fun along the way. St John does not have an airport. So, runners have to be transported to the island via a boat. What better way to arrive in style than on a privately chartered yacht? Here is a list of boats that can take you to your dream race!
