Day 1 Grenadines Yacht Charter itinerary
Blue Lagoon St Vincent to Bequia Island, approx 2 hours sailing
Pick up your yacht at Blue Lagoon Marina on St. Vincent. Enjoy a welcome cocktail while your crew explains the safety procedures and how the systems work on your new home for the following week or ten days.
If you prefer, you can take the large, colorful, and fun local ferry to Bequia and join your yacht there.
Day 2 Grenadines Yacht Charter itinerary
Set sail upon the 12-mile passage to Britannica Bay, the only anchorage at exclusive Mustique Island.
Yes, Princess Margaret’s Secret Hideaway from the 1950s when absolutely nothing was on the deserted island.
Now, exclusive homes dot the palm-fringed sandy beaches in a hidden, tranquil paradise with over 90 palatial mansions.
Explore the stunning nature trails by foot, bike, or horseback, or if you prefer to make the most out of snorkeling in vibrant coral reefs, the choice is yours!
End the day sitting at Basil’s Bar and Restaurant, perched on stilts over the Caribbean Sea, for a panoramic view with the yacht in the foreground.
Venture back to your private yacht for a gourmet dinner prepared by your yacht chef with Mustique in the background.
Or stay ashore at Basil’s Bar or Fireside Restaurant and go all out.
Either way, you are in paradise.
Day 3 Mustique To Tobago Cays
Take a stroll on the deserted beach before setting sail to Tobago Cays.
The local anchorage is protected by an enormous horseshoe reef, providing impressive snorkeling. Explore ashore with the nearly tame iguanas and tortoises.
Day 4 Tobago Cays
Tobago Cays Marine Park protects this precious ecosystem of nine islands, including the five uninhabited islands of the Tobago Cays, the Islets off Mayreau -Catholic Island, Jondall, and Mayreau Baleine—and the populated island of Mayreau itself.
Mayreau was one of the hardest hit islands by the hurricane in June 2024. The Roman Church, which has stood forever, was virtually destroyed.
You need a full day to explore, snorkel, and swim here—the area is a national park, and the wealth of sea life is extraordinary.
Just off the tiny island of Baradel is an area cordoned off for turtles to feed. If you have never gotten close enough to swim and watch turtles, it will be a highlight of your vacation.
In the evening, enjoy a lobster or fish beach BBQ.
Day 5 Tobago Cays to Petit St. Vincent
Leaving the Cays by the southern entrance, enjoy an exhilarating trip past Union Island before reaching the sheltered waters of Petit St Vincent.
Explore the tiny sand islet of Mopion with a single coconut thatch sun shelter before heading over to the Petite Saint Vincent anchorage to anchor overnight.
Day 6 Petit St Vincent –Chatham Bay Union Island
Sail to Chatham Bay, Union Island. This large anchorage has a sweeping beach under high hills. It features excellent snorkeling along the north side of the bay.
Enjoy dinner on the beach; this frequently ends up as a dancing party in the sand in season.
Day 7 Mayreau Island Saline & Saltwhistle Bay
In the morning, a short sail to Mayreau will have you dropping anchor in Salt Whistle Bay, a palm-fringed semicircle of white sand.
Mayreau’s main attraction was the small Roman Catholic Church built of local stone perched on the central hill. June 2024: This church was heavily damaged in the summer hurricane
From its lofty location, it offers a magnificent panoramic view sweeping down over the village and the coastline and onto the spectacular beauty of the Tobago Cays.
Day 8 Canouan Island Grenadines Yacht Charter Itinerary
It’s about 1 hrs sail from Union Island. Canouan is known for its gorgeous white sand beaches, sheltered bays, and coral reefs.
Visit Carenage Bay and Godahl Bay, which are stunning. Grondahl Bay Beach was voted #5 in ‘The World’s 21 Sexiest Beaches’ by The Travel Channel in 2008.
Most beaches are lovely for swimming, as hills or barrier reefs protect them.
You can scuba dive to one of the best reefs in the Caribbean or visit the marina, which looks like it belongs in Portofino, Italy, not the Caribbean!
Day 9 Canouan to Bequia
A three-hour sail will take you to my favorite island in the Grenadines, Bequia. Hopefully, you will have been lucky enough to catch a Mahi-Mahi on the trip over.
Bequia retains its West Indian Charm, and you will quickly find out why it has a beach called Friendship Beach!
Bequia has a rich history of boat-building, with world-famous unique boats and also whaling.
Day 10 Explore Bequia
Stroll the long walkway around the bay with various local shops, bars, and restaurants.
Auberge Des Grenadines, famous for the fresh lobster…or
Plantation House is an old West Indian-style plantation resort with cottages and a restaurant and bar.
I enjoyed the best fish sandwich ever at Jack’s Beach Bar on Princess Margaret Beach (yes, the royalty tie-in again!
