Every inch of this vessel, from its bright and contemporary interiors to its elegant light wood paneling and joinery, exudes sophistication. The interiors are adorned with neutrally toned furnishings in luxurious fabrics and soft leathers, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious stay for our guests.

Accommodating up to 12 guests in 6 stunning staterooms, STAY SALTY offers a master suite on the upper deck with a private lounge, a his-and-hers ensuite bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, and a walk-in dressing room. The VIP stateroom is on the main deck, while the remaining four staterooms, including one king suite, two twin convertible cabins, and one twin cabin, are on the lower deck. All staterooms boast spacious ensuite shower rooms and access to STAY SALTY’s impressive entertainment system.

STAY SALTY’s expansive decks provide stylish sunbathing, entertaining, and relaxing spaces. The main aft deck features a shaded dining table for 12, a barbecue, and a widescreen TV. The upper deck offers a sumptuous lounge area for lazy mornings or afternoon cocktails, while the sundeck boasts the best onboard views, sun loungers, a bar, lounge seating, and an alfresco dining area.

CAPTAIN – James Speed

James Speed’s journey began in a small town in South Africa, where his deep-rooted love for the ocean ignited a lifelong passion for the marine industry. With over a decade of experience, James has dedicated himself to exploring the world’s waters and bringing joy to those who share his enthusiasm for travel.

James’s yachting adventures have taken him across the Mediterranean, Baltic Sea, Russia, Eastern Europe, and North and Central America. His extensive experience on various well-managed charter vessels has equipped him with the knowledge and skills to ensure your time onboard is nothing short of extraordinary.

James is known for his professional and enthusiastic leadership style, effortlessly balancing expertise with a laid-back approach that makes every journey enjoyable. In 2022, he married chief stewardess Jessie Speed, and together, they are committed to making your Stay Salty experience truly remarkable.

Join James and Jessie on a voyage of adventure, fun, and unforgettable memories. With their combined passion and dedication, they promise to deliver an exceptional yachting experience that will leave you longing for more. When James is not on the ocean, he will be Wing Foiling, Fishing, spearfishing, Kayaking, or adventuring in the mountains on two wheels or by foot.

CHIEF MATE – Gabriel Viviers

Riël Viviers is a sun-kissed soul from the beautiful shores of Victoria Bay, South Africa, where he lives close to a renowned surfers’ paradise. Growing up amidst sports enthusiasts, Riël’s life has been an exhilarating journey, embracing both the waves and the mountains. He mastered surfing and spearfishing from an early age, drawn to the ocean’s call. Equally passionate about the land, he eagerly hikes and climbs nearby majestic mountains.

After high school, Riël focused on the yachting industry, diligently working to earn his foundational licenses. His dedication and commitment have set him on a path toward achieving the prestigious rank of Captain one day.

With a cheerful disposition and a willingness to assist both in and out of the water, Riël brings joy and positivity wherever he goes. His blend of enthusiasm, skill, and helpful nature makes him a valued crew member, ensuring every voyage is filled with adventure and happiness.

CHIEF ENGINEER – Gregory Oello

Greg hails from the sunny and vibrant island of Jamaica, where he developed an early knack for engineering amidst the beautiful beaches. His journey in maritime engineering began at the Caribbean Maritime University, setting the stage for a successful career in yachting.

Since joining Stay Salty in July, Greg has been dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of our engines. His passion for travel and meeting new people enriches his work and interactions onboard. No task is too small, and no problem is too challenging for Greg. He approaches every day with a smile, embracing each moment as a new adventure. Greg’s enthusiasm and expertise make him an invaluable part of our crew, committed to delivering a seamless and enjoyable yachting experience.

CHIEF STEWARDESS – Jessie Speed

Jessie Speed, an ocean enthusiast from South Africa’s east coast, discovered her true calling in the maritime industry a decade ago. Her journey began as a bar waitress on cruise ships, where she fell in love with the sea. Jessie’s deep passion for the ocean and travel led her to the South Pacific, where she explored remote islands, embraced diverse cultures, and nurtured a commitment to community support.

In 2018, Jessie became a certified yoga instructor, skillfully merging her love for wellness with her maritime expertise. Her dedication to creating a balanced and enriching environment on board has been a hallmark of her career.

In 2022, Jessie married her soulmate, Captain James, forming a dynamic duo on the high seas. Together, they bring unmatched passion and dedication to ensuring high standards and an unforgettable experience for all aboard. With Jessie and James at the helm, prepare for a memorable adventure filled with joy, wellness, and exceptional service.

CHEF – Tracy- Jane Ingle

Tracy-Jane, a professional chef from South Africa, brings over 16 years of experience in the yachting industry to our team. Her love for cooking began in her grandmother’s farm kitchen and has been a lifelong passion ever since. After high school, Tracy-Jane pursued her passion by studying Hospitality Management and earning a diploma in culinary arts from a private Le Cordon Bleu Chef School.

With a flair for creating beautiful dishes, Tracy-Jane expertly combines flavors and textures, always using the freshest seasonal ingredients. Her healthy and positive approach to life shines through in her cooking and interactions onboard.

Outside the kitchen, Tracy-Jane enjoys reading cookbooks, hiking, and photography. Her adventurous spirit is evident in her dream of completing the Seven Summits. With Tracy-Jane at the helm of our culinary offerings, you’re in for an exceptional dining experience that delights the senses and nourishes the soul.

SECOND STEWARDESS – Holly Brunt

Kia Ora! Holly hails from the charming surfing town of Mangawhai on New Zealand’s east coast. Her childhood and teenage years were filled with international equestrian competitions across Australia and New Zealand, where she competed alongside her younger brother.

After high school, Holly ventured to California, working at a mountain ranch where she taught horse riding to kids. With three years of yachting experience under her belt, Holly has worked in prestigious programs, excelling in all areas of the interior.

In her downtime, Holly enjoys horse riding, backcountry hiking, and surfing with family and friends. Her love for adventure and the ocean is a constant in her life.

Now part of the Stay Salty team, Holly is excited to ensure a memorable experience for you onboard. Her dedication, versatility, and passion for providing exceptional service make her an invaluable member of the crew.

THIRD STEWARDESS/ MASSEUSE – Kendal Cole

Kendal, fondly known as Kenz, was born in Durban and raised in the vibrant city of Johannesburg, South Africa. Her deep connection with the ocean stems from cherished vacations by the sea, which ignited her passion for maritime adventures.

With a strong health and wellness industry foundation, Kendal brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to her role. Her contagious happiness and boundless energy radiate positivity wherever she goes.

Though new to the yachting world, having dedicated just a year to the industry, Kendal is already making waves with her warm and uplifting personality. Always smiling and embracing each day with enthusiasm, Kendal is excited to provide an exceptional and memorable experience for you onboard.

DECKHAND- Sam Speed

Sam Speed, a native of a small town in South Africa, grew up surrounded by the stunning Drakensberg mountains and the warm waters of the east coast. After completing his schooling, Sam’s pursuit of adventure led him to become a walking guide on the Wild Coast of South Africa and participate in two expeditions to the frigid reaches of Antarctica.

During his time on the Wild Coast, Sam developed a passion for spear and fly fishing, fully embracing life by the sea. With an unquenchable thirst for adventure, Sam seized the opportunity to join the Stay Salty team.

Eager to learn and always ready to lend a happy helping hand, Sam’s enthusiasm and dedication make him a valuable member of the crew. His adventurous spirit and willingness to tackle any challenge ensure a memorable and enjoyable experience for all aboard.
