CAPTAIN MATIAS

Raised in Argentina, Matías learned sailing ropes in the challenging southern Atlantic. His passion for the sea took him to Brazil and Barcelona, where he worked as a sailmaker for Quantum Sails for four years. With experience as a captain on various sailing and motor yachts, Matías has navigated thousands of nautical miles, including Caribbean deliveries and Atlantic crossings, earning his 200 and 500-ton Captain’s licenses.

Besides sailing, he excels in kitesurfing, foil surfing, and wing foil and is a passionate Scuba diver. Known for his problem-solving prowess and empathetic leadership, Matías has been the captain of Ascension’s Catamaran since 2021. He ensures each guest on charter enjoys a safe, unforgettable journey through the world’s most exquisite waters.

CHEF EDEN

Eden, a chef hailing from Riviera Maya, Mexico, brings his unique blend of traditional Mexican flavors and international fusion to every meal. Known for crafting innovative menus that cater to guests’ preferences, his culinary expertise turns every event on Ascension, from themed dinners to weddings, into a memorable feast. MATE MAIA

Sailing has been a lifelong passion for her, deeply rooted in family tradition. Her connection to the sea grew even stronger after meeting Matias, with whom she embarked on countless voyages and yacht deliveries throughout the Caribbean. Together, they’ve navigated waters from Mexico to Belize, Florida, The Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, and the Leeward and Windward Islands.

Her love for sailing naturally led her to the charter industry, where she combines her expertise in advertising and event production with her talent for hosting to create unforgettable experiences. A true water sports enthusiast and hiking adventurer, she’s also a certified Hatha Yoga instructor. Each morning aboard Ascension begins with her holistic approach—start your day with revitalizing sun salutations and mindful breathwork.
