His maritime journey took shape through competitive sailing, where he distinguished himself at the national level in sailboat racing.
This early success naturally led him to explore professional opportunities in the charter industry, embarking on a career that has taken him from the dramatic shores of Cape Agulhas to the historic waters of the Mediterranean, across the vast Atlantic, and finally to the crystalline seas of the Caribbean.
As a captain who lives and breathes the maritime lifestyle, Tristan is equally at home on the water as he is beneath it, pursuing his passion for snorkeling and diving. His creative side emerges through drone photography, capturing the beauty of his aquatic world from above. When not at the helm, he maintains his sharp mind and physical fitness through CrossFit, hiking adventures, and strategic battles over the chess board.
His combination of competitive sailing experience, extensive cruising grounds knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm for ocean activities ensures guests experience the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation during their time aboard.
Born and raised in the vibrant culinary landscape of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Hakim began his culinary journey at a remarkably young age. With twelve years of professional cooking experience, including five years specializing in yacht cuisine, his passion for creating extraordinary dining experiences has only deepened with time.
His approach to cooking is deeply influenced by his extensive travels, where each destination has contributed to his ever-evolving culinary repertoire. Hakim’s talent lies in his ability to weave stories through his dishes, incorporating techniques and flavors discovered during his global adventures to create unique and memorable meals.
As a yacht chef, he has mastered the art of delivering five-star dining experiences at sea, combining his Puerto Rican heritage with international influences. His creative presentations and innovative flavor combinations ensure each meal becomes a highlight of guests’ charter experience.
