I recently toured the breathtaking SUR LA MER at the Antigua Charter Yacht Show, and it is absolutely stunning. This 43.6-meter luxury superyacht was built by the famous Benetti shipyard in Italy and is a perfect mix of elegance and comfort.
SUR LA MER can host up to 12 guests in five incredible cabins. The primary suite on the main deck is truly special, with its own office, lounge area, walk-in closet, and an en suite bathroom that includes a soaking tub. The suite also has private access to a foredeck terrace with a Jacuzzi and seating area—your own little escape. The windows wrap around most of the suite, bringing tons of natural light into the area.
The lower deck has four more guest cabins: two VIP suites, one double cabin, and one twin cabin with Pullman beds for kids. Each cabin has its own en suite bathroom with a shower, giving every guest a private and comfortable space.
The sky lounge on the bridge deck is a great spot to relax, with cozy seating and a stylish bar. Next to it, the dining area has sliding glass doors that can open up for a wonderful alfresco dining experience.
The sun deck is a guest favorite, with a large Jacuzzi, sun loungers, padded seating, and a dining table. Whether you want to relax in the shade or soak up the sun, this area is perfect for enjoying the view.
SUR LA MER has two tenders to take you ashore and plenty of water toys for fun, including jet skis, a wakeboard, and inflatable towables. It’s the perfect setup for days full of excitement on the water.
Understanding your Yacht Charter Costs: Your charter will not include a 10% Bahamas VAT and a 4% tax.
Additional expenses? These are covered by the Advanced Provisioning Allowance (APA), generally 35%-40% of your charter fee. The APA caters to your yacht and tender’s fuel, provisions, marina and mooring fees, transfers, permits, scuba excursions, onshore activities, communication costs, and local taxes.
When you board, your yacht is ready with everything you have chosen. The captain maintains detailed logs of expenses against the APA, available for review anytime during your journey. Should the APA fund exceed, the excess is returned post-charter. If expenses overshoot, you’ll need to top-up before disembarking.
