Sol Catamaran
Launched this year, SÓL catamaran introduces a blend of discreet luxury, sustainability, and advanced technology. This 80′ x 39′ beauty houses spacious areas typically found on much larger yachts. SÓL uses solar power for an eco-friendly journey across the water. Sustainable materials and eco-conscious choices prioritize both environmental and guest well-being. Dining options range from plant-based to gourmet, tailored to every taste.
SÓL boasts natural-material lounges and broad windows for unmatched sea views, especially from the flybridge. The interior merges smoothly with the exterior, thanks to aft glass doors, leading to a generous combined space.
Enjoy your voyage with a dedicated four-member crew, ensuring an unforgettable experience.
CABINS ON SOL CATAMARAN
Up to eight guests can comfortably stay in SÓL’s four large ensuite staterooms, which offer plenty of living space for charters. The primary cabin, located in the starboard hull, has a king-sized bed, and a cabin nearby has a queen-sized bed. The portside hull features two queen-sized bedrooms. Every guest room blends design with functionality, providing storage and big closets.
We’ve selected organic bedding for its top-notch quality and eco-friendliness, ensuring a perfect night’s sleep. The bathrooms include charging stations, premium eco-friendly toiletries, and hairdryers. The primary cabin also comes with a desk and safe for your convenience.

CAPTAIN JACK
Growing up in Maryland, Captain Jack knows the Chesapeake Bay’s waters like the back of his hand. His sailing journey started as a young boy alongside his father, laying the foundation for a life intertwined with the sea. Jack’s academic path led him to the University of Maryland for his undergraduate studies, followed by a distinguished stint in the US Navy’s Nuclear Power Program, serving on submarines.
Transitioning to civilian life, Jack spent 14 years as a Nuclear Engineering consultant while enhancing his educational credentials with an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. Throughout his time in the Navy and corporate world, Jack amassed a wealth of sea miles, taking on deliveries and passages that honed his seamanship skills.
Eventually, the sea called him away from the corporate landscape to pursue his true calling as a captain. Embarking on a solo transatlantic voyage marked the beginning of his professional sailing career, which has since included numerous crossings, long-distance deliveries, skippering dive boats, day sail vessels, and participating in the operation of Tall Ships.
EXPERIENCE MATTERS
Now, with over 12 years of experience in the Caribbean’s private yacht industry, Captain Jack specializes in delivering unforgettable vacation experiences. Whether it’s day charters or captaining luxury charter vessels accommodating up to 10 guests, his combination of skill, experience, and passion makes every journey memorable. As a qualified Dive Master, he adds another layer of adventure to the trips.
Choosing Captain Jack and the SOL team means signing up for a holiday that’s not only luxurious but also filled with vibrancy and the joy of life.
FIRST MATE RICHARD
At 19, First Officer Richard set sail from Delaware, charting a course that took him through the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and along the U.S. East Coast. Holding USCG 50- and 100-ton Masters Licenses, Richard stands out for his engineering smarts and a deep passion for the sea, making him the perfect leader for your next sea voyage.
CHEF TARYNE
Chef Taryne, hailing from Durban, South Africa, began her career in graphic and web design before her European travels sparked a passion for cuisine. This led her to pursue an advanced culinary diploma at Cape Town’s Silwood School of Cookery, complemented by roles in restaurants, wine estates, and a safari lodge.
Her extensive yachting chef experience includes participation in prestigious regattas like RORC Transatlantic Race and Rolex Middle Sea Race, culminating in her current role on the charter yacht SÓL.
In her downtime, Taryne continues to enjoy the adrenaline of surfing, mountain biking, and hiking.
STEWARDESS BLAIR
Blake, from Minneapolis, grew up enjoying lake cruises and appreciates nature. She graduated with a degree in business management and Spanish from the University of St. Thomas. Pursuing her love for global exploration and inspired by a chance meeting with seafarers in Europe, she spent three summers in Croatia working as a chef and sole stewardess on sailing boats. This passion led her to the Caribbean to continue her career. Excited to be on the Sol team, Blake’s friendly attitude and engaging personality make her an exceptional stewardess. She’s always ready to mix a cocktail, share adventurous stories, and ensure guests feel welcomed.
