CAPTAIN TERRY
Terry grew up on Ireland’s east coast, where his love for the sea began with sailing dinghies and grew to larger boats. Although an electrician and optical technician by trade, his passion for sailing led him to make it a career after his first trans-Atlantic crossing with friends. As a qualified Yachtmaster for both sail and power, Terry also played a key role in his local volunteer lifeboat service. With nearly 40 years of diving experience, both Terry and Ruth enjoy guiding their snorkeling guests to explore the wonders of the underwater world. 🐠🌊
CHEF RUTH
Ruth has been sailing along the Irish east coast since childhood and volunteered as a crew member for the lifeboat service, emphasizing safety for everyone on board. Before embarking on a sailing career with Terry, she taught and honed her culinary skills with courses at esteemed institutions across England, Ireland, and France. Ruth loves cooking with local fresh produce and gladly accommodates any dietary needs. With 20 years of experience, Ruth and Terry have piloted boats across the Atlantic four times and explored regions like the Bahamas, Caribbean Islands, the Mediterranean, and UK waters. Over 12 years ago, they settled in the British Virgin Islands, and it instantly felt like home. 🌊⛵️
They are a warm welcoming couple that works as a team in all aspects of the boat’s running. It is important to them that each guest on board enjoys every moment of their stay. They especially love chartering with kids on board (and adults are welcome too!). They can’t wait to share their brand new catamaran, Rhapsody II with you.
