CAPTAIN JONAH
Jonah from Colorado swapped skiing for sailing, thanks to his adventurous grandparents who sailed around the globe in their 60s. Several visits to their boat sparked his interest.
Despite earning an engineering degree and working in construction, a 2017 sailing trip in Croatia changed his course. He quit, sold everything, and pursued a Yachtmaster course in Spain. He’s a seasoned sailor, captaining charters in the Mediterranean, Caribbean, French Polynesia, and New Zealand.
In 2021, Jonah met a chef from California and teamed up with Nicole to create a Captain/Chef duo. They’ve been traveling the world together since. Jonah proposed in March, fittingly on the bow of a sailboat. Passionate about the Caribbean, Jonah loves sharing his knowledge, humor, and sailing skills with everyone. 🌊
CHEF NICOLE
Nicole’s love for the sea and cooking began on California’s sunny shores, where she sailed with her grandfather, a Tall Ship Captain. This passion shaped her career as a yacht chef, merging exploration, hospitality, and culinary arts.
After seven years teaching in Seattle, Nicole followed her dream, becoming a charter chef in Croatia in 2021, where she met her fiancé, Jonah. Her cuisine reflects her travels, emphasizing fresh, local flavors.
Nicole crafts menus tailored to her guests’ tastes, whether for upscale dining, theme nights, or kid-friendly meals. Off-duty, she enjoys paddleboarding, hiking with Jonah, and dance parties. They warmly invite you aboard Elysian for an unforgettable journey!
