CAPTAIN: ADAM DAWSON
Growing up in the UK, Adam was fortunate enough to spend his time on the coast of the Isle of Anglesey which ignited his passion for the ocean. Adams father was first mate in the Royal Navy and as such, the ocean is in his blood. Adam would spend his days sailing dinghies and windsurfers as well as motor boating, jet-skiing, water-skiing and wakeboarding.
Graduating with degrees in both Property and Applied finance, Adam spent 6 years developing and selling real estate in central London. However a chance sailing vacation of his own brought Adam back to his roots and spurred his desire to get into the yachting industry. Over 50,000 nautical miles later, Adam is an approachable professional yacht skipper, offering unique and stress free vacations. Adam has spent 7 years as captain aboard luxury charter yachts in the Caribbean as well as over a year as general manager of a 5 star private island resort.
Passion and a desire to share his love of adventure, the ocean and exploration with guests is what sets him apart from others. His infectious attitude and quality of service, create an exciting yet relaxed experience for guests. Adam’s wealth of experience working in hospitality, make him an ideal host for your trip.
CHEF/FIRST MATE KATIE RANGEL
Katie hails from the Chicago area with a passion for food, travel and an active lifestyle. Her infatuation with the culinary arts began while living in France, and has ballooned since. Love of food and travel led her to Paris, where she’s taken culinary, pastry and sommelier courses. Katie worked as a chef for charter yachts in the Caribbean, the Mediterranean and French Polynesia, but her favorite is the Virgin Islands. She is a registered yoga instructor and personal trainer and has taught both private and group classes since 2011. Fluent in French, Katie speaks conversational Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. She enjoys creating unique flavorful dishes while using the freshest local ingredients possible.
