DAVID HOLLINGER AND LISA MAILANGER
A born explorer, David spent his youth fishing, kayaking on the Austrian Lakes and hiking in the mountains of Austria. Growing up he enjoyed all types of sports and activities, from not only sailing and dinghy sailing specifically, but also Billiards and Chess. David's other passion is music and his family are musicians including piano, guitar and percussion.
David started sailing at the age of 14 and has been a sailing instructor for the past 17 years. Initially he sailed on the lakes of Austria, and later in 2009 started to adventure across the globe skippering now over 40,000 miles. His clients comment on his relaxed skippering style with good humour and adaptable skills to any situation on board.
When David isn't on board, he is usually completing his next tour on land. Recent trips include Inter-railing through Europe, exploring the Whiskey distilleries of Ireland and Scotland and following the track of Napoleon through France and its beautiful wine regions.
Lisa is also from Austria and this is where she first stepped on a sailboat at 6 years old. From then on-wards she spent most of her free time on sailing boats. Lisa's other passion was tourism and following her studies in the tourism academy, she became highly competent in customer relations and hospitality in Salzburg. In the kitchen she learned from chef Mr Stockl who gained his experience in various well-known Austrian restaurants such as Stanglwirt in Kitzbuhel. She has attended wine and cheese training with Mrs Witzko, an Austrian vintner, active on the Fancy Food Show in New York, and has worked as a chef at the Austrian Mountain Hut. Since arriving in the Grenadines, Lisa has spent her time cooking with Vincentian chefs in her free time to again expand her knowledge and skills in the kitchen.
Lisa enjoys being in the galley but she also never forgets why she is on board and that is to create an unforgettable time for her guests. Besides cooking, Lisa finds a balance with Yoga, hiking, tour guiding and sailing. Lisa is also regularly travelling, with recent visits to Stockholm, La Reunion, Honduras and Milan. Her meals are healthy with fresh ingredients and underlined by her all around the world experiences.
Before moving to the Grenadines in 2019, as a captain and crew together, Lisa and David have sailed over 10,000 miles, including races, deliveries and holiday crewed charters and they are now enjoying fulfilling their common dream to create unique holiday trips and experiences for their guests.
