Captain Luis Linares was born in Venezuela 1967, dedicated most his professional life to mechanical engineering. During his career years he discovered yachting and immediately understood he had found his match. Having spent a great part of his life in the exhilarating Caribbean Sea, he began his travel days as a licensed engineer on board vessels ranging from 100ft -130ft cruising around the Caribbean and Bahamian waters. After ten years as an engineer, he decided to take a new challenge in the industry and became a Licensed MCA Master of Yachts. Captain Luis has mastered since then, an array of prestigious Yachts, demonstrating with his engineering skills and clean driving how successful yachts can be operated. For the past 12 years, As Master, he has extensively cruised the East Coast of the United States, Bahamas, Hispaniola, Virgin, Leeward and Windward Islands. His favorite place remains the Bahamas. “After so many years I still can’t get enough of this". In his downtime he enjoys outdoors sports like kayaking, fi shing, and scuba diving. With his professional and positive manner, he will provide an enjoyable and safe adventure for all guests. He will strive to achieve successful and memorable charters every time. CHIEF STEWARDESS HELENA VALING
Helena was born in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. She lived 10 years in Finland and graduated from Finnish College of Beauty Therapists. Helena’s love of travelling naturally drew her towards the yachting industry where she began working on board a 36m sailing yacht. It was evident to her from the beginning that a career in yachting was her calling. As a qualified beautician, Helena understands the importance of making guests feel relaxed and well-cared for and she uses this in every aspect of her job whether in cleaning, service or simply ensuring the children are thoroughly enjoying themselves. Helena enjoys staying active and can be found participating in a variety of sports whenever she can.
FIRST MATE SERGIU SCUTARU
Sergiu grew up in a small city in North of Romania, not far away from Transylvania's vampires. After completing 4 years in Technical University of Iasi he graduated with a diploma in Civil Construction Engineering. Passion for sea and achieving more personal experience came as a challenge and since 2014 he is a seafarer.
Since then he completed one Atlantic crossing and navigated around Mediterranean Sea, Caribbean, Bahamas, Gulf of Mexico and USA totaling 65.000+ nautical miles and over 500 days at actual sea. He worked on different size vessels with lenghts between 40-65 meters, having the honor to work for high profile guests as Michael Jordan, Damian Marley, Antonio Banderas, Vin Diesel, Sir Richard Cliff, Sergio Perez, Evander Hollifield, Prince and Princess of Monaco.
Sergiu currently holds a MCA/RYA Master 200GT Commercial Endorsement and he is working towards becoming a Captain in the future.He enjoys exploring the outdoors especially mountains, fishing enthusiast, boxing and has a huge passion for cars.
ENGINEER VICTOR DE LEON
Victor comes from the tropical country of Panama, more exactly from the warm waters of Bocas Del Toro. I attended the military academy in Lima, Peru from ages 15 to 18. This was the beginning of a passionate career for engineering, as the last year in the military academy he decided to take diesel mechanics. Furthering, he was briefly introduced to the yachting industry, place where he decided to pursue a full engineering career and now 9 years later, after lots of study and work he has the pleasure to serve M/Y Mamma Mia as the Chief Engineer, making sure that every system is well maintained and looked after for the proper function of the vessel. His passions are Guitar playing, building machines & gadgets, overhauling engines, business, and economy.
