CAPTAIN MICHAEL
Michael grew up in Northwestern Pennsylvania, where fishing and boating on Lake Erie were part of everyday life. His journey took an unexpected turn after he earned an accounting degree from Edinboro University, PA. In 2015, Michael discovered his passion for the maritime world in San Francisco. This passion led him from engineering on large yachts to captaining catamarans. Now at the helm of Liquid Zen, Michael prioritizes safety, care for vessels, and unparalleled guest experiences. He consistently upholds the highest standards, making every voyage memorable.
CHEF SARA
Sara’s journey began in Texas, progressing from a San Antonio childhood to adventurous years on the 41′ Morgan sailboat, Invincible, from age 13 to 18. These years were filled with travels across the Caribbean, embracing the sea, learning new cultures, and sharpening her culinary talents. Her passion for maritime life and cooking blossomed, fueling her to elevate her guests’ experiences with exquisite meals and stories of the sea.
Crossing paths with Michael on a 160′ sailing yacht in New York City, where she was a deckhand/crew chef and he, an engineer, their combined expertise and love for water crafted a bond both personal and professional. Together, through seasons in New York, Newport, the Caribbean, and Bermuda, and then on the sailing catamaran Floatation Therapy, they perfected hosting, ensuring unparalleled experiences. Now, they’re excited to share their passion and skill with Liquid Zen.
