Captain John Nichols
John is a USCG certified captain with a passion for all things boating. Growing up on Martha’s Vineyard, John has years of experience navigating the water. John has been an avid fisherman for years, and you’ll find that he’s traveled all over the world to pursue this hobby.
John has traveled to dozens of countries on various backpacking and fishing adventures, seeking the most exotic and remote places to satisfy his travel bug. He has traveled through Rajasthan India, spent months living in Cambodia, trekked the mountains of Peru, and even learned to skydive in Australia. He’ll tell you himself though, nothing compared to his trip through the San Blas Islands when he fell in love with sailing.
John has spent over 7 summer seasons bartending on the popular vacation island, Martha’s Vineyard. Between his impressive drink making skills, extensive knowledge of the water, and great attitude, you’re sure to have a memorable and fun vacation with John as your captain.
Chef Julia Early
Julia’s spirit for cooking stems from growing up in a large family that frequently bonded over a delicious, home cooked meal. A foodie herself, she loves to create and prepare meals with fresh local ingredients. Julia has spent several seasons bartending on Martha’s Vineyard, creating the most refreshing cocktails for long days after the beach, or giving amazing wine recommendations.
A former group fitness Spinning instructor, Julia loves to stay active. She frequently enjoys snorkeling through the water, finding long hikes to go on, and practicing yoga. Julia is also an enthusiastic world-traveler who has lived in the culture-rich city of Madrid, island-hopped through the Philippines, spent months in Cambodia, and visited over a dozen other countries in between.
Julia’s love for warm weather and the ocean is unwavering. With her hospitality experience and adventurous spirit, she is capable of perfectly tailoring a vacation to all individual tastes.
John and Julia met after both living on the island of Martha’s Vineyard and instantly made an amazing team. They both share a love for the outdoors, and constantly seek adventure. However, they will both say the constant highlight of all their travels is the people they meet along the way. Both John and Julia enjoy creating new friendships and seeing how others live their lives and create their own happiness.
