Captain Kelsey and chef Renata
Captain Kelsey: Born and raised in New Jersey, Kelsey spent her childhood sailing all over the east coast of the US. After graduating college, she moved to The Bahamas for a marketing stint. It wasn’t long before she realized she wanted to turn her love of sailing into a career, and set off to South Africa to complete her Yachtmaster.
Since then, Kelsey has been cruising her way around the world. Her yachting experience ranges from fun flotilla charters in the Mediterranean to enduring transatlantic crossings. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing, sunny vacation or an exciting ocean adventure, she is excited to welcome you aboard!
Chef Renata: Renata, born and raised in coastal northern New Zealand, has always been close to nature and the water. Seeing her mother’s passion for food and garden-to-table cooking from a young age, she experienced the joy that surrounds a beautifully prepared family meal.
Moving to Europe in her mid-twenties, Renata spent time living in London and Amsterdam, relishing the chance to travel, taste and cook during holidays from her corporate job. It was in Europe that she fell in love with sailing, and decided to take the leap to combine her passions of cooking and being on the water. She completed her Day Skipper certification, and after formalizing her culinary skills, began hosting charters in Croatia and Greece. Following a busy summer in the Mediterranean, she realized her dream of crossing the Atlantic Ocean by sail, managing the provisioning and cooking for the nine people onboard.
Renata’s favorite dishes include a mix of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Asian, all influenced by the classic New Zealand cuisine she grew up with. In saying that, she is always excited to discover new flavors, spices and cooking styles, and loves to try new things. She enjoys exploring local food markets to find new and exotic ingredients, and looks forward to sharing these discoveries with you in the Virgin Islands.

| BVI CRUISING PERMITS, CUSTOMS FEES AND TAXES: For 7-night charters, additional costs of $250 per person, for 6-night charters or less, divide weekly rate by 7 nights x by number of nights. SAINT MARTIN / SAINT BARTHS RELOCATION FEE: Relocation fee of $2,000, minimum 72 hour turn required on either side of charter dates for boat transit. Please inquire for availability. The amount you leave is totally at your discretion and should be based on the level of service provided. The suggested gratuity is 15%-25% of the total charter fee. CONTRACT SPECIAL CONDITIONS: The Charter Fee does not include the British Virgin Islands (BVI) cruising taxes and permit, BVI National Park permits and BVI customs fees (collectively the "BVI Fees"). If the CHARTERER requests to include the BVI in the Charter itinerary, and the Yacht is legally allowed to cruise in the BVI, the BVI Fees shall be paid by the CHARTERER prior to embarkation on Yacht. If the Yacht is NOT allowed entry into the BVI, FOR ANY REASON, during the time of charter, the charter will take place in the USVI waters. Payment of BVI Fees amount to $250 per person (total $****). Payment is due at final payment stage as listed in payment schedule. |
