AZULIA II
AZULIA II

Captain Daniel grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and was raised by a family of passionate sailors. After attending college, serving in the military, and pursuing business he naturally gravitated towards his dreams of working and traveling on yachts. “When you
learn to do a job well, your work can become extremely rewarding” he says. Dan got his professional start at The Moorings BVI in 2015 and since has worked in the charter yacht industry for private businesses throughout the Caribbean and the Pacific. Having come from Colombian roots, family is something very special for Dan and he hopes to share that environment with the guests of Azulia.
Chef Jessi was born and raised in South Africa, spending most of her childhood in or under the water. At the age of 12, Jessi received her first PADI Scuba certification, and in 2015 she became a PADI Specialty Dive Instructor. Working and instructing all over the world. Jessi earned a BA in Creative Brand Communication and Marketing and worked as Graphic Designer in Cape Town, but her love for the ocean was calling. Jessi moved to the Seychelles in 2017 and was introduced to the Superyacht industry and has worked on various sized boats in every department, as a Deckhand, Dive Instructor, Galley Assistant, a Stewardess and Chef.
Jessi has always loved cooking and enjoys learning how to create exceptional food presentations, “it’s called paradise on a plate” she says. Jessi started her professional chef journey in 2019, receiving an IYT Galley Chef accreditation after completing a Superyacht Chef Course. In July 2021 she attended the prestigious Ashburton Chefs Academy in the UK and obtained a Merit Certificate in the Culinary Arts. She is always looking for ways to expand her culinary experience and enjoys creating fresh, flavorful dishes inspired by her many years of travel and living in different countries.
Dan & Jessi met through mutual friends in the sailing industry and have known each other for a few years. Deciding to work together was a natural and easy choice. This duo is full of fun laughs and a uniquely impressive combination of yachting experience and skills. We love our ability to relate to our guests and make people feel comfortable while enjoying the luxury and adventure that awaits on AZULIA.
We are looking forward to seeing you soon!
