CAPTAIN – Damien Loiseau (French)
Sail & Work Experience:
Beginning his career as a deckhand in 2013, Damien has built up experience through sailing around the Mediterranean and Caribbean both on charter and delivery yachts. He became a Captain in 2016 and has continued gaining qualifications and expanding his knowledge of yachts and their destinations since. Also interested in photography, rock-climbing and skateboarding, Damien is both charming and professional, offering guests on ARAOK advice where necessary and ensuring a relaxing charter.

Job Description:
Damien is responsible for navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the vessel, crew and guests. He ensures the safe and efficient operation of the yacht at all times, including compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations, port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full understanding of, the vessel’s policies. He provides daily leadership for the crew and encourages teamwork, individual growth and personal attention by delegating duties and supervising all crew tasks.

Licences and Qualifications:
- RYA Yacht Master Offshore Commercial Endorsement
- Captain 200 GT Qualification
- Level 3 Medical Training
- Marine Engine Driving Licence
- CGO General Radio Operator Licence
- CFBS Basic Safety Training Certificate
- Nautical Initiation Certificate
