Dimitris Petikidis-Captain RYA/MCA
Dimitris was born and raised in Kalamata. He is a highly enthusiastic experienced captain, born in 1985. His wide versatile sailing career ranges from thousands of sailing miles in the Greek seas, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Persian Gulf. His participation in various significant sailing championships Worldwide with the landmark of winning the 2019 European Championship, has equipped him with the right standards of experience and discipline required in this kind of job while being a licensed Yacht Master Offshore RYA/MCA. His broad participation in various teams such as the Yacht club of Greece and the national team 470 Olympic class has provided Dimitris with great interpersonal skills such as creativity, a good sense of humor, confidence, punctuality, and on top of everything, “safety first” alertness. His pool of interests ranging from extreme sports such as windsurfing, cycling, and diving and in combination with his two universities in Civil Engineering degrees and working experience in UAE will make Dimitris the ideal multifaceted personality captain who will make your trip even more delightful and memorable.
Cook/Hostess: Myrto Diagianta
Myrto was born in Greece in 1997 and raised by the mountains and the sea. After school, she studied wine and organic farming in the south of France, and then she worked for several years as a hostess-silver service staff member at La Truffle Blanche in Verbier.
Her desire to join a sailing crew sparked while sailing in the Cyclades aboard her cousin's sailing yacht. The Open Sea Diploma was her following accomplishment. She began her career as a cook/hostess aboard fully crewed MYBA charter yachts in 2021.
She is always happy to welcome guests aboard the Alegria! Myrto is combining her services and experience in order to alter and adapt to her guests' preferences. But most importantly, she is prepared to transform an ordinary dish into a delectable supper by combining fresh, local ingredients and a great deal of ingenuity!
